Detroit Pistons director of basketball operations Tony Ronzone will become Minnesota's assistant GM next month, according to a source.

Amick reports the move is unrelated to the departure of Fred Hoiberg, who became the head coach of Iowa State this week.

Love Wants Clearer Definition Of Role

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love doesn't necessarily want to start, but he does want a defined role on the team.

"It's not necessarily about starting," Love said. "I just want to know what their plans are for me and what I mean to the team. I need to get some things figured out. I plan to work my butt off in the summer to prove to the organization what I can do."

Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis said that the team is still trying to figure out whether they can use Al Jefferson and Love on the court at the same time.

Lakers, Knicks, Wolves To Play In Europe

The NBA is sending the Lakers, Knicks and Timberwolves to Europe for the fifth installment of the league's preseason Europe Live Tour.

Each team will play two games overseas this coming fall, including contests against top European squads.

Los Angeles features Spain's Pau Gasol and New York has Italy's Danilo Gallinari.

"We like to bring the hometown player back to have his fans, and given the popularity of Pau in Spain, particularly Catalunya, we think that's a great idea," NBA commissioner David Stern said Tuesday on a conference call.
