Wizards Interested In Beasley?

According to a league source, the Wizards are open to acquiring Michael Beasley from the Heat this off-season.

The Heat is looking to create more salary cap room and the former second-overall pick struggled at times during his second season in Miami.

The Wizards' front office, which could have more than $21 million in cap room to use this summer, has mixed views on Beasley's game.

Beasley is a Maryland native.

Arenas Sued For Not Picking Up Guns From Beverly Hills Firm

A lawsuit claims Gilbert Arenas owes a Beverly Hills company more than $70,000 for storing guns he bought and never picked up.

Tactical Operations sued Arenas last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica. The firm claims it obtained five Beretta pistols with silencers for Arenas in 2006.

The suit says Arenas bought the guns but refused to pick them up. Attorney Burton Jacobson says the firm is selling the weapons but Arenas owes storage fees and interest.

Sale Of Wizards Close To Complete

The family of late Wizards owner Abe Pollin has agreed to the "major economic terms" of a deal to sell its stake in the team to Capitals owner Ted Leonsis.

Leonsis, a former executive at American Online, and the Pollin family ran into some issues with the sale earlier this year.

In a statement Tuesday, Pollin's sons, Robert and James, said they congratulate Leonsis on this "near-final step in a long negotiation."

The Associated Press reported last month that the two sides agreed to value the team and the Verizon Center at slightly more than $550 million.

Pollin died at age 85 in November.
